Polished Z tube

I want to buy the Z tube for my sedan but I don't want the plastic one. I was looking at the UT polished one or their chrome one. I know there were issues with the chrome flaking off the inside of the chrome Z tube and was wondering if this issue was resolved. If not, does anyone have the polished one and exactly how polished is it? I love the look of the chrome one, but I am afraid of the engine sucking in chrome flakes.

well, i actually have no installed the silicone z-tube. im not sure if it fits the G, but im sure it is much better than any aluminum z-tube. im probably going to sell it to help me pay for my headers. =)

this is just a guess, but I would assume the Silicone will not sound the same as the OEM Z tube because the silicone will damp out the vibrations more than the plastic would. I don't know what that will do for the sound though but I would guess it will be less aggressive than the plastic tube (this is an engineer's best guess...)

The chrome isn't flaking off inside the tube? I remember a thread a little while back mentioning chrome flaking off inside the tube. My concern is the chrome flakes being sucked into the engine. Don't get me wrong, I think the chrome one rocks and would get it in a heartbeat if the flaking issue was resolved.
