Re: Distance on 1 Tank of Fuel
Good to hear the Stillen and G/K made some diff on mileage bro. For stop and go traffic in the big city that's not half bad either.
I wonder why the low fuel light didn't come on? Has it been on b4 so that you know it's working? Mine comes on just as the needle is approaching the last division up from 'E'.
How's the Merc SUV bro? Decent ride and power?

Re: Distance on 1 Tank of Fuel
i go 500km. before the light comes on and then it takes 57ltr. to fill it.
that calculates to 21mpg. U.S. gals.
that is "normal" mix of driving and with the "occasional" heavy foot.
have not yet tried a highway trip to see what max. milage "kmage" would be.

That's not bad for having some fun, bro. Too boring getting good mileage... Gotta make this baby rock once in a while. Enjoy..

gsedanman,
Never had my fuel light on yet. it's just turning summer here in Chicago area and in winter we try not to let the tank down low, just in case. I'm sure you know about that... I think I'll go with the empty tank test now that its summer, make sure the light works, and then fill it up with some Mobile premium 93 and see how that works. I've been buying Jewel gas in Fox Lake, premium grade 93. The 17.58 was the best yet and that was on Jewel brand. If Mobile does better with the empty tank test, then I'll calculate and see if the extra MPG's are worth the extra $0.13 per gallon price!

Re: Distance on 1 Tank of Fuel
I've been using Mobil for the last few years because it was most convenient, but 4 months age, the station I normally used started neglecting their pumps. Locking clips for the pump handles were missing, pumps were out of order, pumps were flowing really slow, etc. Luckily a new Chevron opened across the street, and surprisingly I've noticed better gas mileage with Chevron, and often they're a few pennies per gallon cheaper as well.
Now I just avoid Mobil at all costs...still use their synth oil though

Re: Distance on 1 Tank of Fuel
I drive fast, and I am glad to hear others who do are also only getting in the 300+ range...I just went 360 miles...45 of them with my NAV telling me the DTE was 0 miles...and it took 18.2 gallons of Mobile 93...so with an average of 18 mpg, I still would not have cracked the 400 mile barrier, but it seems to be a milestone that can only be reached via cruise control or really going slow...so I won't see the other side of 400 miles any time soon...he he
