rasp, i don't think so. but that's a tough question to answer since "rasp" is pretty subjective to the listener.

as for the CEL... well my car is currently throwing a hard CEL code for the Primary O2 sensor (hard code meaning it cannot be reset, you actually have to remedy the cause to remove it). i do not believe this to be at all related to the cats or the rest of the exhaust since those components are all downstream of the malfunctioning o2 sensor. i believe it is an issue with my headers (which may be leaking)

thats interesting with the cel. I recently installed headers/cat/y pipe and I cant figure why i'm throwing a code.

How can u tell that your headers are leaking?

well, for 1 thing since it's an error on the first o2 sensor that is installed in the header outlet pipe, it's gotta be a problem somewhere up there

also i spoke to the guys at MRC and they said aftermarket headers sometimes develop a leak (i think they said at the connection to the block). either way, i know i have an exhaust leak somewhere b/c i can hear it, i just can't pinpoint where it is. alot of people say to run the car and spray some soapy water to show where it's leaking from but i need the car on a lift for that

i've also developed a nasty vibration at around 2200rpms from the driver side header/cat area, so i think something has worked loose slightly and now that whole side is making contact with the body.
