Re: Something serious from Nismo?

yeah, the m3 has a $2400 SMG option which has 5 different automatic modes. the ferraris all have a tiptronic-like option as well. and mercedes, like stated above, don't have any manual cars, regardless of AMG tuning. i don't know about the maseratis or the aston martins, but your info is slightly flawed.

Did I start a Fire Storm The racer who lost a leg was brought up 9nice)but what about Alex Zanardi-both legs. Sir Frank Williams,he is wheel chair bound. Both cannot be enthusiats under the definition. Reason they don't drive manuel trannys Having an opinion is great but be careful your opinions don't make you look arrogant.
General Question to anyone: Is a Geo Metro an enthusaists car because it has a stick?

Re: Something serious from Nismo?

Sorry about that guys...after reading my original post again i meant it to say RWD before the list. I said, "Here are some of the best driving machines I can think of right now which are only offered in manual." That "manual" should have been "RWD," making it "Here are some of the best driving machines I can think of right now which are only offered in RWD."

The post above by mbarrad said "Who will be the true purist when the AWD comes out? "
so i did a comparison between RWD and AWD. I don't know why i typed manual there...but I meant RWD.

BTW yes all AMG's are auto (only current manual MB is the C230 which has the option of auto as well), m3 has smg, next M5 with 500+ hp V-10 (gonna be one hell of a beast) will get smg, Most ferrari's have option for paddleshift, The zonda is only manual, Maserati's have the option for paddle shift (those models are called the "Cambiocorsa" which means "racing shift") and the Aston Martin's are a auto w/ paddle shift

sorry about the typo!

Re: Something serious from Nismo?

All thoes expensive automatic cars are for rich people who can't drive. lol

As for the mercedes C230K my tranny only lasted 9 500Km and almost all the C230/slk owners who drive it hard have problems with it.

I would be back to mercedes in a second if they would give us a good 6 speeds AMG.

Re: Something serious from Nismo?

As you can see every one has their opinions about their car and no matter how much you argue you can't change anybody s mind even if you argue till your head turns blue. Myself I still stand by what I said. Though we should have started a new subject in the forum on this. Would have been really nice to see what everybody thinks on this.

Might have started a riot.... LOL

As per mysterious "holly grail" that the nismo team is working on to UP our horsepower, I will be faithfully waiting to see it and hopefully they will come up with something that will help me beat my friends M3.

Re: Something serious from Nismo?

Where did you hear this from?

because if thats the case ... that is very upsetting.
I bought this car mainly because I could purchase performance parts under warranty. Thats what I was told. If this is not the case, I have a very old rusty machette that needs to be "oiled"

also ..fellas.. lets keep this thread on the initial topic, if you want to discuss who is the more pure G lover .. please start a new thread as the initial thread has some real substance to it and is worth discussing.
later fellas
