Question Strange Hissing?

I just put my z-tube and JWT popcharger (and lovin' the sound) but when I accelerate slowly I hear a high pitched hissing sound coming from the car. Now I heard it a tiny bit before I put the intake stuff on but now that it is on it seems to be a whole lot louder. Just making sure that the sound is normal.

And also I have a strange smell coming from it when I hit the gas hard. But I am just guessing that that smell is from the brand new ztube and popcharger. I am just wanting to make sure all of this is normal or I need to fix something with it. Thanks.

The noise, which you hear is normal. However, I am not so sure about the smell. Did you add more oil to the filter?

No the filter should come pre-oiled. I was just wondering if you might have over oiled it. Well, if everything is tight and secure . . . You should be good to go.

You need to oil it after every cleaning otherwise no oiling required.

You can clean the filter as often as you would like. Just do a viusal inspection. It all depends on where you are driving, as well. Remember to apply the oil lightly, as to not to over oil the filter element.
