I'm looking for a turbocharger for my G35 coupe except the shop who is going to be ordering me that turbocharger said that there is nobody that makes a turbo for the G35 coupe automatic, they said they only make them for manual G's. So instead they said the only supercharger that they can do for my automatic G is a Stillen since nobody makes superchargers except the Stillen for an auto G. With the Stillen I would need a new hood because it goes ontop of my engine. If anybody knows or has a turbocharger in their G and you have an auto not a manual one, please let me kno asap, because I'd rather have a turbocharger but if they dont make any for a auto thats fine, and if they dont but there is a supercharger that doesnt have to go ontop of the hood, please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. Just about all the turbo and SC systems will work with the auto (Vortech, APS, SFR, and soon Turbonetics, JWT). A valve body upgrade for your transmission, a tranny cooler, and possibly a new torque converter, are recommended.

 

So you can get a turbocharger or a supercharger for my G even though its an auto? Or do you have to pretty much redo my entire engine? I dont want to do that, I just want to be able to get a turbo kit and I am able to use on my auto G instead of redoing the hood and all that.

 

You can get the vortech sc now as well as the APS Single and Twin turbos for an auto, others as well as stated.

 

I've seen a Twin Turbo Greddy kit for the G35 Coupes, do you guys know if it's able to be bolted onto an automatic 5 speed Coupe?

AT - i think you have to custom-make kits...
never seen official AT TT kit.

 

nothing custom needed - bolts on 5AT just like 6MT.

The transmission may not be able to handle the increased torque and might miss shifts. This will require a valve body upgrade. This *might* not be required with the lower torques of the SC.

 

Are there any superchargers for a 5AT that dont go ontop of the engine like the Stillen? Because i dont want to get a new hood for the supercharger to be put ontop. Also, with those superchargers, they dont come with a kit so would I need to get new headers and all that good stuff? Because with the turbocharger, it comes as a kit with all that stuff.
