Why take all of that off? At the most I would take the plenum off but headers and exhaust wont cause oil consumption

I put 6 quarts on the last oil change at 5000, at 8000 i have 1 quart left. I have to put more in because the CEL is on, and I notice the oil level is very low. I have to put 4 1/2 in to make the level up again.

My last oil change at 5000, when I open the oil pan, I only have a little left, I meant very little maybe less than a quart. Engine is running with strange noise when downshift at that time.

Just put a large pics of paper at the exhaust, put the gear in N, and step on the gas with the paper at the end of the tail pipe, my have a lot of black little dot on it, which is motor oil.

I had the exact same problem but I had test pipes, nismo exhaust (both installed by the dealer) and Pop charger, I will say they gave me hell about it so you may be better off taking the stuff off.

Is it the oil ring not sit properly, or something else; but afterall the dealer fix it right?

the engine ended up blowing, I was going through way more than a quart every 1000 miles. After the engine blew the warranty was a no brainer.

I finally got everything restore to stock and ready to take it to dealer next monday, service guy say they have to do an oil change and send me home to drive it for 1k and come back. At this point, I really dont have a choice but do what they say. what is your experience on getting your engine replace.

Any updates?

I'm wondering why some folks rely on their dealers to tell them if their oil level is low during an oil change (I'm not talking about anyone in particular). My guess is that they wouldn't mention anything unless it was excessively low. It's not that hard to check the oil level first thing in the morning before you start the engine. I can't understand people who complain about not being able to read the dip stick... read it first thing in the morning.

Ok
sorry for the long delay, but finally the problem is getting solve.
As i mention earlier, I have to restore the car back to stock. So that took a week, then bring it to the dealer for an oil consumption test. I am not kidding about this, the test is actually done by changing the oil with the oil pan marked, so it cant be tampered. Then they send me home and ask me to come back after I drive it for one thousands miles.

At one thousand miles, I went back to the dealer which happen earlier this morning. Shortly they told me the engine needs to be replaced and ask me to return next week for replacement. They also add more oil in it, because it is running low. My advise, check your oil if you drive your car hard; and dont mod your car early, do it after a couple thousand miles.
thx all
