It is goig along slowly. I have been taking my time and I had another problem with the double pulley.

If I had the chice and $$ the JWT TT would be my #1 choice. I went with this because I knew I could install it and it was quite a bit less expensive.

I am going to try and get the intercooler and oil cooler in tonight so I can go driving tomorrow. Wish me luck =)

Oil cooler is easy, I did one of those on my G. You'll need a dremel, though, to remove some of the plastic to get the cooler to fit flush

I'm anxious to hear/read about your results!!! I've had the FI bug for quite a while - was initially set on Stillen SC, but when all the chatter about how great JWT's TT is I've been waiting. Seems as though I'll be waiting quite a while as I am only interested in CARB certified.

I've been itchin' for the Stillen lately (thus reading threads with info). Good luck on the install and be sure to post your impressions of the performance! I'm hoping you'll confirm the monstrous TQ that most report!

Congrats on the purchase man and way to go ***** out and do it yourself. I am really interested in how fast it makes the car. I would love to have all that torque on a daily basis.

haha, then I would have been able to put up more of a fight with the CLS 55 AMG that smoked me like I was standing still the other day

Talking

Well the S/C is done. I finished it Saturday night. I had a big problem with the double pulley. I put on the wrong bolts and all four of them broke the first time I tried to start the car. That was scary! Once I got the pulley back on with the right bolts I could not get the main drive belt again and ended up going and getting another Gates belt that is a little longer. It went right on and appears to be holding nice and tight so far.

I did not install the oil cooler yet. I am not sure where it goes since I have the intercooler and water pump just inside and below the washer fluid reservoir. Stillen told me it would fit the sedan with the IC but I am not sure where to put it. I decided to take a break and put it back together for now. I will try to figure out where to put the oil cooler when I get some time.

Caelric - where is your oil cooler installed? Do you have the Stillen setup?

The car feels good but not as fast as I was expecting. I am going to get a boost gauge and connect it as soon as possible to see what I am actually pushing. It has lots of torque and feels good but I was expecting more and I think it has more to offer. The sound is AWESOME! I have the Stillen cold air box and they say that makes the volume of it a lot higher. I love it, people look very surprised when they are driving next to me and I get on it. My friend was driving next to me and playing and we decided it sounds like someone is skinning a cat when I am at about 5000rpm and full throttle.

I will post some pics soon.

Here is the thread where I discuss the oil cooler. It is on the drivers side, blocks part of the radiator, but a small part. Depending on where your intercooler is, it may, or may not be able to be mounted there.

One pic to show you, as well, it is the drivers side, and you can see where the cooler is, on the left side of the picture. And my car is dirty right now, I know.

Thank you. I can't put mine where you have yours because the intercooler is there but I think there is room a little further to the driver's side. I will do some research and see where I can fit it.

You'll have to watch the hose length; make sure the hoses reach to where you want to mount it before you actually mount it. The way my hoses are routed, I couldn't mount it any further over, but if you route the hoses differently, you can get some more reach.

Thanks again. I am going to wait until I have a little more time and try the cooler.

Congrats on your new purchase and install!!! I'm a little curious though - on one hand you sound pleased, but on the other hand you seem disappointed... for those of us on the bubble deciding, would you recommend? Or maybe not?

Well it has been a few days and I am enjoying it more and more each day. I am getting it Dyno'd tomorrow so I will know if everything is working.

I guess I did not know what to expect. I love the instant power and the sound. But I am one of those people that always wants more so I will be going to stage 3 and probably stage 4 after a while. The thing that I was not expecting is the great highway gains. When you are going 65-70 in 6th gear you can just press the gas and the power is there.

Don't let me discourage you. The kit is awesome. I have never been in another G or 350 with FI so I did not know what to expect. For me this was the right kit, I have no doubt in that. If I had more money I would have gone with the JWT TT kit but that was not in the cards right now. They are more $ and I would not have been able to install them myslef. Plus the Stillen does have the 3/36,000. It has lots of power, looks great (yes, I even like the hood, CF on a black car looks cool to me) and it's tons of fun. If you are going for big numbers this is not the kit for you. If you want lots of fun around town without having to stay up in the revs all the time and can't afford APS or JWT this is the kit for you.

Thanks for the response... I too have had my eye on JWT TT but I was hoping for CARB approval - who knows when that will be. Also I like the idea of low maintenance and relatively safe operation... For those reasons Stillens SC seems right. I'm past the high numbers stage - I have pretty good peak HP as NA but even though my TQ isn’t bad, that’s what I've been most anxious about gaining! Glad to know your impressions are good - once my tax obligation is determined I might be making a trip to Stillen (or Performance Nissan) to join in the SC fun!

Does this Stillen kit come with new injectors? Do you really need them? How about tuning? Fuel managment? Engine managment? How long did it take you to install?

Sorry bout all the ???

No problem, I am happy to answer the questions.

The kit comes with a 7th injector right after the throttle body that "richens" the air so you don't have to change the injectors. It is controlled by a stand alone box that taps into the vacuum lines, crank position, and cam position sensors. Other than that the engine management is all stock. It seems to work well because I got dyno'd today and my A/F was 11.3 to 11.7 all the way through the power band.

I took my time and even ran into a few small problems on the install. It took me about 18 hours to do the install. I could do another one in half the time now that I know what I am doing.

Before you ask, here are my dyno results. Please keep in mind that this was at ~85 degrees with almost no humidity and on a dyno dynamics that they warned me typically gives low numbers. Also they said my heavy 20's are taking a good amount of power too.

I made 278HP and 250Ft-Lbs. The torque band was almost completely flat from 2400 to 5500 rpm. This kit does have massive torque as soon as you step on it. They said on my stock wheels/tires and on a normal dyno I would easily make 300rwhp.

Hope this helps. If I had to do it over again I would still buy this kit...

I like the early and flat TQ curve... does it drop off drasitcally after 5500?
