help me~ (MD 5/16" ISO Thermal plenum spacer)
hello guys~
I need some help for intake maniford collector gasket.
Do I have to remove the stock intake maniford collector gasket(which is
placed on between lower and upper intake maniford collector. Not aramid
gasket)?? Or Can I reuse that maniford collector gasket with spacer and
spacer gasket(It means 2 gaskets between lower and upper intake maniford
collector)?
Which way is the best for the performance?
And should I coat spacer gasket with motor oil too?
Please reguard~
Thanx~

If I understand your question correctly . . . I would reuse the stock gasket. You then would have the following assembly scenario: Lower collector, stock gasket, new 5/16" spacer, new gasket, top collector.
I don't think you need to oil these metal type gaskets.

There are 3 stock gaskets you'll encounter when doing the ISO Thermal install. The first is the top plenum gasket which you'll find along the perimeter of where the top and lower plenums meet (you'll reuse it under your new spacer - new spacer has a forth gasket attached to top usually). The second (which I think you're asking about) is the one that has the center bolt holes in it and sits in the top of the lower plenum (you DON'T remove this at all). The third is under the lower plenum on top of the manifold (this is the one where you remove the metal stock gasket and replace with the new ISO Thermal one).
Don't reuse the metal gasket and yes, thinly coat the new gasket with motor oil. It is important.
