I can communicate my obd to ECU maybe dead ECU? Can somebody check out my ECU also take out the Nats security? Also is it possible to put a tune in without the car being there with ECU? I need help please thanks

Sorry I'm so illiterate when it comes to dealing with this site especially. Hopefully I can communicate with you and we can both understand each other.
Okay here goes, I have the 07 G35 with the mt6. Is there that easy way for me to check my ECU to make sure it works? And if it doesn't work I'll need to get another ECU and I was told that the numbers have to match up exactly. I saw one on eBay that looked like it had the numbers the same and it was $200. I'm not a rich guy and not working but I can scrape up a few bucks. Can I buy the right one somewhere and flash it?
