ECU???? please chime in!!!

i have been having ecu problems for a while and i have a question i am currently going to oreder a new ecu but it is from a 04 6mt and i have a 03 6mt, the 04 work for my application?

It won't be plug and play no matter what ecu you get do to the security on the ecu. Dealer will need to link your keys to the new ecu, not sure if there are other differences in the actual ecu.
