It's hard for me to sign up too far in advance because I never know when I'll be traveling. I'd still like to do the upcoming MSR event, I've never done the full 3.1 there!

no MSR 1.7 on Sept 27? Those 2 day events are just too hard for me to give up an entire weekend, so this is all I'm signed up for.

Yep thats me. You should have said hello. I must have ended up with a nail in my Right Front because I had to call it a day when I couldn't keep pressure in the tire. That and I wacked a cone pretty hard. I shattered my passenger marker light and the crack in my bumper from previous errs got a little bigger. I'm going to need to do some body work again

you might want to add the Apex Driving Academy events as well. they put on some one day events at MSR which are nice for those who can't give up an entire weekend for a Driver's Edge event.

Once I burn through these Project Mu's I have on my OEM Brembo's I will probably give those a try for sure if they are available for the Brembo's!

Didn't you see the glowing rotors at TMS? Actually I could barely get them hot enough with street tires. I have a picture at work with them glowing, I can't seem to find it now at home. I'll attach it tomorrow (maybe) EDIT: Found it.

SCCA is competition, PCA has some competition, all the other are non-competitive. Though obviously no one likes to be passed.

I was in the Blue run group at TMS. I believe because I had a "low" HP car. The majority of cars there were Porsches and 'Vettes. On that big oval I'd have had no chance to keep up with the HP difference like I can on the road courses.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'd love to get into some SCCA autox or something but time, money and time keep me from getting involved. I've been racing on dirt on and off for a while but I'd love to get a car into it. Having a sedan doesn't help probably but I'd still like to try it sometime. Right now, I'd just love to get out on a track and just see how the car performs and get to know it a little more in an extreme environment.

So, to sign up for some track time at MSR, I have to fill out the deal and see if I can be fit in with everyone else? I'm probably going out to the Drive your Ride deal at the Speedway in Sept.

Dont worry about having a Sedan. Ive seen a few G35 Sedans running at TDE events.

If you just want to test it out, I personally would sign up for a TDE (The Drivers Edge) Event. Since you are new, they will most likely put you at the Beginner level, and give you a dedicated instructor. This will help you learn to drive your car and learn the track at the same time.

If you have the time, TDE is doing the MSR 3.1 track on Sept 6-7. http://www.thedriversedge.net/02_tracks.htm
