Hmm sounds like my ECU isn't compatible or something according to UpRev. Still can't change the maps. Kinda confused though on what exactly is wrong, but it doesn't really matter if I know, only that Steve and Jared know.

yeah jared should be able to figure it out. they might need a ecu dump from you so they can decipher it if they don't already have a rom for yours.

They didn't have the ROM, and I have new one on there now, so I don't know if they can get an ECU dump. I may check with Austin guys to see if anyone else has the same ECU. I wonder if there's an easy way to check ROM's and I could just check at a local dealership, or at Sewell here?

oh I see, so your ecu was flashed with a rom that was only slightly compatible because of your adaptive cruise control... so now you need to get a rom that includes that function.

That's what it sounds like, yeah. Since Steve didn't dump the ROM beforehand, I'm trying to track down another FX with the same ROM and get that to UpRev. I'm just wondering how hard it is to check ROM's? I think Sewell would let me test their vehicles and take one to Steve to dump the ROM, or maybe he can even do it all in the parking lot?

yeah, just have to take the cable and run the software, click dump ecu...

I think what we are going to try is return the ECU to stock and then maybe the dealership can reflash it back to my old ROM.

That's probably the smartest approach...

Went by Sewell, and they aren't sure if they can flash back to the stock ROM. I think the one issue is that there aren't any updates they can use, so I don't know if they have something to even flash from. Might just have to buy a new ECU.

I have two tuning trips coming up in the next two weeks and 6 unknown at this time until the group give me a date.
