Brand New Coupe HD Trunk

Well after stripping 1 of the 4 Torx screw I'm at a crossroad and will not attempt to remove oem trunk. This is brand new and unmounted so I do not know fit and finish. Trunk will need to be prepped before painting anyways. There is a tiny chip I do need to mention but can easily be covered before painting. I'm in the Lake Elsinore area and this is for local pickup only...I could meet you anywhere within a 50 miles radius for a little extra. Willing to trade for a Nismo S-tune exhaust +cash on my end. SOLD

well just an FYI..if you search you will find that those torx are a VERY soft metal and so far I don't think anyone has successfully taken them out undamaged. You have to drill them out. That's what i did with mine too it's super easy. let me know if you need help doing it.

Thanks...I did noticed/read that...I mean the 1 torx I barely touched and it stripped If I plan on keeping this I will probably get another set of trunk hinges from eBay.

the only thing you should need is just new bolts for the hinges...use the smallest drill bit you have and drill out the torx bolts and reuse the hinges with new hardware.

I just took off my oem trunk last week. All 4 torx bolts were stripped, do i just took a flat head screwdriver and bent the bolt up a bit then took vice grips and grabbed the bent piece and turned counter clockwise. It should take you about 30 min to get all 4 out. Then just got 4 new m6 10mm bolts and install is easy. If you have a winged trunk now you will be very happy you decided to get rid of it!!! Wingless FTW

This happen to me. You just need to by the reverse drill bit to get the screws out. Happens to everyone.

Put the torx bit in and hit the end of the handle with a hammer.... it'll break them loose. That's what we do in the shop everytime for door latches and other stubborn bolts. Also how I got mine outta my trunk before putting my master grade on
