I didn't even know coffee cups were available!

I really enjoyed the poker run route. It really sucked when we, being the lead car with about 20+ Zs/Gs behind us, got stuck behind some old lady in a Chevy Celebrity with local plates. What sucked was when we finally decided just to creep along and let the lady get a ways up from us so we could have some fun and the people (who obviously couldn't see what was going on up front) started getting pizzy with us for going so slow! I hope everybody eventually figured out what was going on, and we accept all apologies in advance for the countless names I'm sure we were called during the ordeal.

I don't know how a scavenger hunt would work out logistically, and I'm afraid that if you had to drive somewhere to find something it would potentially take too much time away from the fun part (driving), and it would also turn it into a potentially dangerous race of sorts. I know, we were all up there to push our cars, but I think having a bunch of random people, with widely varying driving skills and vehicle setups try to race each other (even if it's not bumper to bumper) is something that needs to be avoided altogether.

One thing I was happy about is that even though we were (seemingly) the last of the poker run "players", we were never felt rushed or made to think we had to make up time to catch up with everybody else. It keeps people from stressing out that they're going to miss something or cause others to miss out or wait on them to finish.

The poker run is ideal in this case because you get a preset course, plenty of time, and no requirement to take your mind off the drive by having to find something - you just pick up your card and leave. If this was a local event and everybody knew the roads and locations, then it would make a scavenger hunt a lot easier to pull off. Since you got a lot of "tourists" who don't know where they are going, the geography, the types of roads and traffic they are dealing with, among a slew of other factors, I just see a hunt type event being potentially disasterous.

...but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong... (Dennis Miller )
