1. As stated above....I am already an attorney and would simply file the complaint on my own behalf
2. Hiring you to "knock out" a complaint would technically be an unauthorized practice of law since you do not yet have your license (I assume this because you mentioned you are only a law student).

Don't worry bout it as I think its just a fuel flapper issue and no lawsuit will come of this....

This is also true:
"I think this is a shifting burden type case. I believe the burden of proof starts with the plaintiff to allege the above and then it shifts to the defendant to show why they did not uphold the valid, express warranty. Another words, they have to prove, by a perponderance of the evidence, that the aftermarket part directly affected the issue being asked to be covered under warranty.
Since there are triable issues of facts and not simply a matter of law, you will not pass summary judgement and end up having expert style testimony in front of a judge or jury."
In essence, cite the act and the breach of warranty and it indeed shifts to the maker to show that the aftermarket part caused the problem. Yes, it's always a battle of experts (Vortech and some independent person) and theirs.
I'm not an attorney: I just get to tell them what to do every day...
