Exclamation Miami Trip and romantic Restuarant..(ya sry)

Ya, change of plans, apparently she wants to go to miami to celebrate her bday and also she's gonna be leaving me to go to california due to her job transfer. (i'm really heartbroken cuz i really love her alot)

so miami people, please tell me where are the good restuarants to eat. I am looking for semi-formal. You know..suit and dress appropriate.

I am gonna be there friday and saturday and leaving sunday.

I am planning on booking a room at the Hyatt hotel near south beach. Also, if there is other location that i should consider, perhaps Coral Gables. Please do give me some suggestions.

Also, please do provide details such as fun things we shud check out and enjoy. perhaps, a ride in some speedboat??

Thanks for helping me out. I am sry for this change of plans.

one more thing, mostly we want to stay near south beach.

oh ya, btw, she's a veggie, so mexican/italian/chinese is fine.

How is the B.E.D? i'm trying to book a room at the Beacon Hotel. Any good hotels around south beach besides Hyatt Regency?

by semi-formal-casual, i can wear my jean pants with a suit jacket and she can wear her nice dress.

There is a very small Italian restaurant on south beach - on the corner of española way i believe....... either way, i was googling and trying to remember the name of it - i don't remember lol, i believe its something "theatre of something"..... im gonna get back to you on that.

But either way, if you like good Italian food/pasta this place is amazing - its pricey, about 20 dollars for a decent plate, up to 30-50 for seafood. I dont know how formal you want it to be, but i simply love this place and dress with a button down shirt and sometimes go with a group of friends before going out for the night. The waiters do treat you more upscale (clean your table when you get up to the restroom and such). But it IS very small, so you need to make reservations, like 15 tables max id say.

Ill get back to you regarding the name.....maybe someone else can get back to you before i do.

Osteria Del Teatro - i found their business card which i had in my desk. It is on Española way and Washington ave - heres a site that kinda talks some more about it. http://www.frommers.com/destinations/miami/D41293.html

I definitely recommend this place - not just for you guys but anyone else in Miami that is looking for some good eating

there are hotels all over south beach obviously - im not sure how expensive and high class you wanna go, but for starters you can check out the lowes hotel - expedia is good to find some hotels in the area. Ive stayed at a standard room at the lowes - it works, its a mid to higher class hotel and emeril's restaurant is right next door if i remember correctly.

GREAT recommendations - i forgot about Capitol Grill. Rusty Pelican has GREAT seafood for a price (very fresh food). Reason that Italian restaurant came ot mind is cause you mentioned formal wear (suit).....even though its not completely formal....heh i dont think ive ever seen a completely formal restaurant now that i think of it.

Sushi Samba is the way to go for your vegetarian g/f...Besides, you can see all the "beautiful people" from their porch and slurp martinis in style...

I didn't say I paid when I went!

My attorney(s) usually pick up the tab. And yes, a couple of martinis each, a roll each and some assorted fresh stuff usually runs at least $150...

But, it is vegetarian and the people watching is priceless...

And movie stars, sports stars, blah blah blah...Ferrari/Bentley central. Saw Dwayne Wade, some Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and Vanilla Popscicle last time I was there...Oh, and a bunch of model-type chicks who didn't speak the Queen's English...The mix of all that with touristy types is all pretty comical...

yeh, those are some great choices, sushi samba is deff great sushi. You can also go down the strip of SOUTH BEACH. Every hotel has a restaurant, all have seating outside, and MANGO's is also a awesome restaurant, with lots of FLAVOR ( lots of hotties walkin around).
