Just to update the thread:

I made another stop at Lokey today with better results I was happy to see that Lokey still met my high expectations, considering the last time I wasn't too happy.

This time I had Jeff as my service writer and Christian as my tech. Jeff was excellent. He will definitely be my go to guy now that Brian and Corey are gone. I told him about my problems and how I was in last week for the same issue, but the problem was not replicated on my visit. He asked if I had an extended warranty (which I do)...but couldn't find the infomation on his computer, so he took my word for it. Christian came in and talked to me about the problem with the transmission. A few minutes later, I was gone in hopes of getting some good news.

So a few hours later, I get a call from Jeff. I come in and he tells me that the problem was found by Christian and that I will most likely be receiving a new transmission! They are having an inspector come out tomorrow to examine my car to make sure my car is worthy of a new transmission. So hopefully I will receive the good news tomorrow.

What's funny is I told Christian how my last visit was...how the tech's and service writer said I don't drive my car the correct way and it's my fault the transmission is grinding..."you aren't supposed to shift from a lower gear straight to 6th." Christian said as soon as he test drove my car, he shifted from 3-6 and it grinded. It also grinds from 5-6. Thank you Christian for being honest and helpful!

Anndddd....warranty voided because of the TN kit.

Now I get to call Fidelity and bitch because I had my transmission replaced before for the same problem BEFORE the turbo kit.

why was it voided? how can they say the turbo kit causes the problem, when its a known problem with 6mt trannies

According to Fidelity, any aftermarket part on the car voids the warranty. So I'm going to cancel it and get a pro-rated refund of 27% back...

I really think I'm going to sell the car. I just looked at KBB and my car is only worth $16k trade-in, $18k private party, and $22k retail. OUCH! Be on the look out for a part out thread in the near future.

What does your contract with Fidelity say about aftermarket parts?

It's likely...I just really don't know what to do!

I can keep my car... I just went over 80k miles. The transmission is grinding and I'm pretty sure 3rd is starting to grind. The car is only worth $18k private party...which is unbelievable! 3 years ago, it was worth $34k. But it's in great condition for an 80k mile car and it's fast!

I can sell my car....get who knows what, but will definitely not be as fast and most likely won't look as good.

I'm just really pissed that I've wasted 3 years of paying for this extended warranty when it wasn't worth a damn. I can understand their side by saying my turbo will void the warranty...but it just really pisses me off that the same damn thing happened just over a year ago BEFORE my turbo kit. AND these transmissions have been rebuilt/replaced so many times due to the same issues I'm having.
