Heading to Miami/FLL in May.

(Mods fee free to move this to the appropriate forum).

Anyways, Im going to be down there May 14-21. And was wondering if there is anything big (ie. reason to party) going on during this time. And by big I mean, film festival, awards show, ect.

Quick bump.

So no big parties?

Also, I need a quick confirmation, whats the law regarding drinking on the beach? Is it allowed? I heard Miami beach is a little tight compared to lauderdale or hollywood. Im no alcoholic, it's just that beer is sssoooo cheap down there, compared to here in ontario.

Thanks

Beer cheaper in Miami than somewhere else?! That's hard to imagine... NEway, not sure how strict Miami Beach is with alchohol on the beach, but I can't imagine anywhere being more strict than Ft. Lauderdale... There's always a party somwhere in MIA Beach. You just have to find them. Ft Lauderdale's SW 2nd Street is always hoppin' on Fridays & Saturdays also--eye-candy overload!

Thanks for replies and advice.

When I meant cheaper I meant that here in ontario a 24 of bud is around 35 bucks. At walmart in fort lauderadale I think it was 25 -> X 10 cases = 100$.

+1 on the eye candy in las olas (sp?), I partied there this past new years, it was a solid time.

Reason I ask about the alchohol and the beach is that Ill be there for 50% of the trip. Last thing I need is my cooler taken away.

Thanks again!

the main thing on the beach is most cops dont want to see glass bottles, if you have it in a plastic cup no one will bother you

but 90% chance, they wont bother you either way
