Intake question

First lemme start by saying I've read through about 40 pages of the intake forums, but I just want to get your guys opinions, because over there it just seems like a pissing match, and can't get any facts at all.

I'm looking to slowly start modding the G, and I know the intake doesn't do much, but still want to do it, just to get an easy start.

So, what is the best combo, or what is everyone around here using?

Stillen w/tube, Popcharger w/ tube, OEM tube with drop in, Injen, etc?

Any and all opinions are appreciated.

popcharger with Z tube or K&N drop in with Z tube. I had the latter and switched to the former because I liked the sound haha. Either way, most of the experienced people I have talked to make the same power with those as a 500 dollar arc intake.

Broke, from what I understand, it just increases the induction noise at WOT. and maybe adds 1-2 whp, although a lot of people will dispute that and even say it may cause a loss. There used to be sound clips posted but I can't find anything anymore.

Also guys, with the Popcharger, any problems with the filter getting filthy? Since its not totally enclosed like the Stillen one.

I've seen some good dyno results from the Stillen, Z-tube and MD spacer. That is the best combo for the money/looks IMO.

I'll take the pop charger, just ordered the carbon fiber Z-tube so don't need that. I don't want to hijack the thread so if the original poster wants it, it's all his but if not I'll take it. Let me know, Thanks!

Think I answered this same question this morning!

One more time....the Z-Tube/Stillen CAI is what I have been using for over
3 years. This combo doesn't offer any noticable HP gains but sounds great.
Where the value of the intake comes into play is when you add the MotorDyne spacer and high flow cat-back exhaust. Then you have dyno
proven HP that makes your G more fun to drive!

When Jeremy built his NA motor, he dyno'd several intakes. He got the best results with a Z-Tube and the stock air box.
