Smile DM2 Idler Pulley Elimination Spacers - Free

Sorry it took me so long to get going on this, but I've got the spacers and all the installation instructions now, so it's time to start giving them out. Thanks again to Danny and Mike at DM2 for making the spacers and donating them to the FGC.

I started a sign-up thread in our Members Only area, so sign up there if you want one.

If you're a Florida G Club member and haven't joined the FGC Members Only forum yet, you should do it. You need to submit a request to join our Members Only area. See this thread for instructions on how to do that. You have to request access... It's just how the forums work.

Some times people are confused between G35 Driver Premier membership and membership in the Florida G Club. If you want to make sure you are a member in the FGC and can join the Members Only forum, check out the membership section of the FGC web site. If you have joined, but don't see your name on our web site, PM Daniel (SFLG35) or Ian (Demonteverde) and they will get it straightened out for you.

It's a generally good thing to do. It gets rid of unneeded weight on the front of the car and eliminates a small pulley that serves no purpose in most of our cars.

Probably the real benefit to those of us that aren't racing, i.e., most of us, is that it cleans up the front of the engine

In the early model years, this pulley apparently spun a fan... before the G had electric fans. Rumor has it that Infiniti/Nissan kept the pulley after eliminating the mechanical fan so the belts would be interchangeable between model years.
