Arrow Tampa/St.Pete QS&L Mini-Meet - Sept 27 - Pictures

We had a great turnout of 20 cars for the Quaker Steak & Lube Mini Meet this afternoon (September, 27, 2008) in Clearwater, Florida. It was a beautiful day, as you can see, and members of the Florida G Club, 350Z Club of Florida, and several new members show up.

For some reason everyone ended up parking all over the lot, so there isn't one long picture that shows everyone.

Nic (Honkiemann) brought his sharp 350z straight from the Performance Factory and a new turbo installation. Hopefully Nic will come to another meet and we can see his Z up close.

Dave and Palmer drover over from Tampa. Two nice Z's. Unfortunately I missed getting a picture of Palmer's unique headlight covers. Have to do it next time...

Dave had a unique rear mounted turbo. I believe it was an STS turbo kit. I never realized one of the main reasons to get a rear mount turbo kit is because you don't have to take the engine out to install it. Pretty cool.

Dave also had one of the homemade catch cans on his Z. I've heard that they make a big difference on an FI car.

Bill's (Ferk) G35 Coupe was looking sharp as always. This time we stayed long enough that it got dark and he could show me his LED under-door lighting. Very nice. Infiniti should have thought of that.

We all jumped when Eric (HydroEric2003) locked his brakes and slid across the parking lot into the spot next to Bill.

Sometimes a car pulls up that really surprises you. This RX7 pulled up and had a really low unique idle... So, of course I had to walk over and see what it was.

As did a lot of other people...

Surprise! It had a small block Chevrolet stuffed inside! The owner, Michael, installed the V8 himself along with headers and several other goodies. Very nice!

Mark brought his super-clean G35 Coupe out.

Taylor showed up after working a full day on Saturday. Thanks, Taylor. Glad you could make it.

Doug (lexusk8) drove over from Orlando. Thanks for driving over... Nice Sedan...

Andre (Reddragon) drove over with Michael and represented the Laser Red G35 Coupes. First time I've seen a LR Coupe without a rear spoiler, with all the trunk badging removed. Looks very clean.

My G is over at the Performance Factory getting a "tune-up." I really missed driving it today, but my trusty Honda Fit took it's place. Temporarily I hope!

I hope everyone had fun today, I know I did. It's always a lot of fun when people come with new, hot cars that you haven't seen before.

Take care!

Nice pictures - it looked like lots of fun and a lot of unique cars.
I had to work - but I'm definitely gonna try to make the next one.

I didn't see any in the pictures - were any G37's there?

Nice pics John, and thanks for coordinating the Quaker Steak meet. I had a great time, and it's always fun to GTG and talk/share mod stories, advice, ideas, etc. The autumn weather certainly helped out too I look forward to more details regarding the Cocoa meet (as long as it's on a Saturday, my Sundays are reserved for family)

Here are some pics I took from my perspective.

Really digging the all flat black look on the grille of Harvey's G, including the emblem.

Apparently there was a 'Stang meet coinciding with our meet...

A sweet looking Carrera grouped in with the 'Stang guys. I love that color!

Thanks for posting your pictures, Doug. We always have room for lots of pictures, plus there's always stuff I miss.

I like some of the blacked out grills. I thought Andre's LR Coupe looked really nice with a blacked out grille, but keeping the chrome Mt. Fuji emblem. Hmm...

Still not sure on the date for the Cocoa Beach meet, but it will likely be on a Saturday. Lots of families like to drive over and stay for the weekend.
