brake rotors
Hows it going fellas. I plan to order new rotors in the next month (car has close to 80,000) and just looking for input. If anyone knows someone in the business let me know. Looking for just OEM replacements preferably slotted.
On another note what else will I need to complete the job? Ill get pads on my own (unless their is a cheaper package deal, using Hawks at the moment), ordering rotors. Will i need new ball joints or anything? Any special brake fluids? Thanks alot!

thanks lyndon ill check them out. not trying to upgrade really unless i can find slotted rotors for like 10 bucks more lol. plan to keep this car for another year, so just want to keep it maintained.
btw if anyone is looking for Hawk HPS brake pads i found a site selling a set of 4 for $135 shipped. (www.hawkpadsdirect.com) never used them before but will end up buying from them.

another question...anyone ever use brakes for less? for $170 bucks theyll resurface all 4 rotors and install brake pads (not sure what brake pads they use).
The Hawk HPS pads do a very good job, if you'll use the bed in process after they're installed they'll last a long time and without noise/dust unlike most pads.Rotors....there's half dozen vendors on our MARKETPLACE under brakes that offer Rotors in every configuration imaginable, check em out. Rotors and pads are all you need to complete the job. Nothing else needed!

I got my drilled&slotted from http://www.rotorpros.net/
Pretty cheap for new rotors... and they have lasted me about 6 months or so now... no cracking or problems. And i do drive the car pretty hard at times.
They also come with painted hats... so that eliminates rust spots.

I just bought the black EBC slotted rotors, installing them this weekend. Here is a link to them...

yea i figured 135 shipped for all 4 pads were a pretty good deal. pretty much decided on getting OEM rotor replacements from r1concepts.com ($129 for all 4 plus shipping + $135 for 4 pads = $264). figure i wont keep the car more than 2 more years so this should be more than good. thanks fellas!

+1 for r1concepts. I'd get (and I did) the premium line. Whatever rotors you get, I'd suggest spraying the hats with black high temp paint. The pads will wear off the paint immediately and the rest of the rotor will be protected from rust.
