darkside DE 5/1 @ roebling road pics/vids

another amazing track weekend! got my first run in blue solo and it was awesome. hung with my georgia rx8 buddies who are just like 1 big dysfunctional family. got plenty of instructor rides and progressed well throughout the weekend. took a little time but turn 2 and 5 i have a good run on now. just need to work on my consistency. ryan brought out his sick time attack evo but it was having water temp issues so no crazy runs.

UPDATE: bad news: i need coilovers. good news: i need coilovers lol.

just came from infiniti, had my head tech do an oil change and a thorough inspection. looks like my plowing issues arent just the weight but my springs are too soft - the control arms are bottoming out on the sway bar. this is what killed my end link last time. the new yokohama tires are stickier and the extra traction is being taken out on the car. luckily levin was awesome enough to help me weigh the car so i have my 4 corner weights. i need to call and do some research with race spring manufacturers. hopefully i can get an idea for what rates i need. ive been debating ordering some adjustable bc coils and looks like theres no more debate. just need to figure out the specs and ill be set. its pay now or wait and hurt the car/wear through tires.

on to the pics...

looks like fun. id like to auto cross at some point when i have some $ to blow, prolly never.

do you know how picky they are if you run wheel spacers?
do they inspect wheel spacers or do they require a hub-centric spacer for you to get on the track?

i planned on starting with auto-x but jumped into hpde and cant go back really. our cars are just so heavy although for scca events, there are diff classes.

i track with spacers. they only check that your lugs are torqued to spec. however, for your own safety i would not push the car without hubcentric spacers.
