It is kind of a tough "he said she said" senario and you will have lots of trouble proving that their detailing job screwed up your car. Did you notice the damage at the time the detailing was done? If so did you point it out at the time? If not, have you gone back to notify them of the damage?
Those are really the first steps. You can always try to scare them into giving you something for the damage by sending a demand letter of some sort, but they are not likely to do much because its your word against theirs, unless you can prove that they caused the damage.

they know they used it abd they told my friends sister that they will replace the rims, and they stopped using acid !!!

well then i would say take it back to them if they said they wil replace the rims and the stopped using it and know it was a problem on some cars. did it happen to your friends sisters too?
You know come to think of it, my front right rims looks like its "peeling" i too had my car detailed from In. of CC.. look at my car tommorow and tell me if its f*d up too..

i noticed the same thing. on one of my wheels, theres a huge chunk that is peeling. on another wheel, there is a little peeling. i wonder if this has to do with the "acid" solution that is being talked about above?Originally Posted by DiamondGCoupe

i'm sorry that this happend to you, but thats why you hear a lot of us saying that we would NEVER let the dealer touch our cars.
if i was you, i would take my car to them and complain, complain and complain, and if they dont do anything, you can always try reaching infiniti head quaters and letting them know of your problem and how little your dealer tried helping you

I have heard lots of great things about Infiniti Consumer Affairs...they take care of things very fast

My advice would be to simply go to the dealer and speak with management. Usually, they will do their best to help you with any problems which is the case with most of us Infiniti dealers. Try not to jump to any conclusions and think about lawyers and Consumer Affairs right off the bat, and you'll find that your demeanor will usually help get things done at the dealer level.
I know that I am always willing to hear someone out and do anything I can to right a "wrong", and that I am much more receptive to people that approach me with civility rather than hostility. Chances are, that an honest mistake was made and the dealer will be happy to make things right.
Good luck!

^^ i agree i know the whole managment team their i even know the owner, but what i am asking is, has this occured for others...
anyway refering to austins post, this is like a stain it wont go away it is like a black stain on my rims and the rim has been eaten through, so i have been told, and i am not going tot ake something so little to my lawyer so he can charge me 500 bucks an hour for 400 dollar damage. not worth it !!!

I had a black stain on my rims but I used a razor blade to take it off and it came off good.

I agree that you should try to be civil during your initial conversation with the dealer, but remember that if that does not work and you have to go a step further your best bet is to put it in writing. They seem to understand that better than just a phone call. Good Luck.
