Todd, with this many...we should, without a doubt, get a better install/tune deal than the already low one we got quotes for

So far, of the 6 definites, only 3 have expressed interest for a group install. S/C price should come down due to us having 6 but the guys in Canada and Utah are probably not driving to North Carolina for an install. I'm not sure what Jose's plans are at the present time regarding install...

Profile4... Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you'll be able to join in on the group buy. I think by Tuesday we will close this deal to the public and go ahead with the purchases. I will know for sure tomorrow evening, but right now we have 6 solid commitments and 4 who want to have the shop do the install.

Talk to you soon I hope.

That's about $40,000.00 in business for the supplier now.. If we can get our installed/kit/parts/gauges/etc price to around $6000.00 I think that is just silly!

$40,000 may be a stretch, but $35,000 is pretty close. I'm hoping our negotiation room will be in the installation. There is a lot of profit in the installation of the S/C and gauges, so hopefully we can get a good price for a group install.

I'm sure the supplier will work out a fair deal with us. Also, don't forget that there is still the first contact that wants a final shot at the pricing. Hopefully this will be enough of an incentive for the shop in NC to really work with us on overall pricing and installation too. :fingers crossed:

Hey Neff...after more research, it looks as if I should to do the valve body upgrade / torque converter upgrade. I have no idea what this will cost me (I have posted a question of such on the FI boards) but didn't know if whatever shop we go with for the install could also do that too. Ie. I don't know if the NC shop does any tranny upgrades too or just the engine work.

I'm with you Neff....some reputable shop has to give us a good deal with all these installations. I have a feeling some shop will step up to the plate.

Does the pricing for all this include gas, room & board, and time off from work?!

Here's to nothing going wrong on the drive back like hoses popping off!
