I absolutely love the Walmart comment. I'm still laughing about that one... I'll PM you my work # so you can call me this morning.
BTW, you're still driving to NC with me.

I've tried to PM Gspot in the past but to no avail. The reason for the 3.12 pulley is that I (as I am sure you have too) have read many people start of with the 3.33 stock pulley only to upgrade later on...which would then require another tune. I figured might as well start off with it. Yeah...the losing of the two years isn't a good sign by Vortech.

Jason, my point was that in a year from now (after you've had a year of trouble free FI adventures) you'll be looking for more power. You'll be used to the stock boost levels and you will become a boost junkie! That is the perfect time to spend $70 for a pulley and $100-$200 for another tune at Coastal Dyno. (Plus it will be time for a new belt so you might as well get the smaller one .)
Trust me, these dyno days and group mod days are a lot of fun. A group FI install we be a hoot. In fact, you'll have so much fun that around Christmas you'll be wishing you could do it all again.

I've come to grips with the $6300-6500 for the kit/install/tune dealy. Its the additional 2K for the tranny. I mean..you can get a whole built tranny for like 4K. A lot of people have not done the tranny work and have been fine. I'm waivering on this issue now. If I do the tranny...and the reflash...im almost at 9K. Thats waaaaaaay more than I thought when this began with a kit in the low 4K. I will still do it but dont know about the tranny work. I have a few more days to flip flop back and forth as I usually do. I can always order he kit and have a few more weeks to really decide anyways.
ps. The trip to NC should be fun as hell one way or another.
And Todd...If I am happy one year from now wanting more power then I will be one happy guy for not having to contribute to any blown motor threads....time will tell how walmart tunes this thing for us
