OH CRAP! Today's my 9 year wedding anniversary... what to get her?

Help! I woke up this morning and my wife said, "Happy Anniversary".

I knew we were going out to a nice dinner this Friday to celebrate, but I just realized that (by her saying happy anniversary) that she expects a gift or something TODAY.

I thought I had 2 more days to think about this, but apparently I don't. What should I get her that's not too expensive?

I've kind of blown the budget on her b-day last month (kitchen aid professional 600 mixer and a programmable coffee maker) along with the kitchen remodel and the FI adventure...

Dude,

you are in trouble if you do not get her something nice. Remember that women do not forget things like this. Anyway, besides the stuff you got her her for her B-day, whar else does she want? Has she mention anything in specific? Start with her favorite flowers first. Make sure she gets them at work and that will buy you time to get her the gift. Good luck!

Be a man, cancel the Vortech, and spend the proceeds on a nice Breitling for her!

a trip.... something later in the year... dub it as a second honeymoon... tell her its the place of her choice or if you know somewhere she wants to go... it will buy you time $$ wise and also you dont have to book anything today... bring home some flowers and brochures...

How about another G? Oh, you said not too expensive.

I'm almost in the same boat. My 1st anniversary is 8/22. I'll be reading this thread with great interest.

i think this is def a good idea, cause it gonna buy you sometime. and you can make seem as if you had been planning this for a while by having brochures of the different places she might wanna visit.

Will your wife be gone during the day and return home. Women like romance. It would be great for her to come home to a candle light dinner and a nice bottle of red wine to enjoy together.

Then maybe you can pop a gift on her for dinner in a couple of days. Ask around and find out who a good masseuse is and get her a 1 hour session and maybe even throw in a facial massage as well.

ok, all joking aside. have you thought about one of the gambling or weekend cruises? they arent too expensive, and you could make a mini trip out of it - tampa, space coast, or ft lauderdale to depart from.

good luck to you man!

Well we don't gamble and we don't drink so there go those ideas. I'll probably just do the flowers/card/candy routine. After 9 years and a new kitchen that cost more than a stock G35, I think that she'll just have to be happy with that until Friday.

I do like the S/C is for her idea.

Red wine will help you live longer and healthier. Nothing wrong with a glass or two a day, it is actually beneficial.
