I thought that Azn would be a man and recind what he said and at least make an attempt to patch things up . I know a lot of members here, and know that they're not vidictive, and are very forgiving, and welcoming people.
Understandably, none of you like unwanted intrusions and nonsense either.
So what's wrong with everyone taking back what they said, and starting over? Azn, after what you said, I'd like to see you step up first.
If you need a private talk, my pm is open, but I'd like for you to sort it here.
it's up to you.

2cents from a NON-MEMBER. It seems to me that if you have a dissenting opinion of a sponsor and are not a member you are supposed to just shut your mouth about it. Right now I am on the outside considering coming in and I am also shopping for goods and services a the same time.
It only seems logical that a person from the SE or FL to be more specific would come in here to get some advice on where to shop and would also be inclined to return here to post about there experiences. If this is somehting that shouldn't be taking place then make this the secured members only forum and keep all non dues paying members out.
I agree that a person should take the issue up with the vendor directly however, if we are not permitted to comment on our experiences then we will be denied the opportunity to make an objective and educated buying decision.
just my non dues payin 2cents

IF a person tries to work the issue with a sponsor to no avail, then a post like this might be necessary.
What I would have liked to have seen happen is this...
1. The OP would have a bad experience (like the OP did in this case)
2. The OP would then try to follow up the next day with a phone call to the sponsor to try to resolve the situation before coming into our forum and sharing their story.
3. If step #2 didn't go well, IDEALLY, the OP would have the wherewithal to have contacted me and got me involved as I would like to think that I have a little pull when it comes to the clubs relationship with our sponsors. FGC Member or not, I'd do what ever I could to help resolve a conflict/misunderstanding because I want people to realize that I'm involved in this club to help people (club members or not). If you're not a member, maybe you'd consider joining. If you are a member then I have a duty as the club president to help you out.
I've handled situations like this before and I'd do it again in a heart beat.
In the case above the OP had a bad experience and then never tried to resolve the situation with Dexter or me. He came on here and posted negative comments about a club sponsor in a club forum of a car club that he didn't even belong to. Did he have every right to be upset? Heck yeah! Could he have handled the situation differently? I think so.
More background information; the FGC has a discount pricing structure worked out with Creative Carz. We also received 2 FREE Huper Optik tint jobs from Creative Carz for our annual raffle at Lokey Infiniti this last March. I really want to be able to go back to Dexter & Creative Carz next year and attempt to improve upon our sponsorship agreement (so more of our members can get $300 Huper Optik window tint jobs FOR FREE) but when people attack our sponsors in this forum it only hurts the club members and pisses off the sponsors.
The end result is that the club could potentially lose a sponsor (which translates into losing incentives to join the club for people like you). The non-members could basically care less because they didn't pay their membership dues in the first place, this is why I got upset on how the situation was handled (i.e. posting on multiple forums and in multiple threads in this forum about the same experience).
In the end, the OP could have had free overlays installed on his car and this post never would have had to have been made if the situation was just handled differently. The OP would have been stoked to have saved the money on the installation (and I'm POSITIVE that he would have been happy with the install job) and would have felt somewhat better about having wasted 3 hours of his time.
One more time... This forum is for CLUB MEMBERS and POTENTIAL CLUB MEMBERS. All I want is for people to respect the sponsors in this forum. Sponsorships are VERY HARD TO COME BY! Getting free items donated to a car club is not an easy thing to do.
BTW, there was another club member who posted in this forum that Dexter tinted their windows and they had a hair in the tint. They called Dexter and worked out the situation with him and he retinted their window for FREE. They then came to the forum and posted what happened from beginning to end. Was the person upset about having a hair under their tint? Sure. Did they handle the situation differently because they respected the club and the sponsor? Absolutely!
If the OP would have called Dexter before posting in multiple threads here and then again on my350z.com SE Forum I happen to know that Dexter would have applied these overlays for free.
Sorry for the long post. I'm really passionate about this club and the sponsors. It is the involvement of the sponsors, along with some really cool members, that make this club so awesome. I'd do anything to protect "the club" so please understand where I'm coming from.
