Just installed the Blitz LM filter in the sedan

Like the title says....

Still looking for a Z-tube, but the stock filter had like 18k on it. The last MPG with the stock filter was 17.5 mpg with my wife driving (car needs an oil change and we usually see 17-20 with her city driving).

I'll post the next MPG with the new filter to see what kind of a difference. Can't tell much difference yet (been on the car maybe 80 miles), maybe a little more responsive, but for $50 why not

I had the Blitz intake on my VR4 and loved it - anyone running the Blitz filters? LM (panel OEM replacement) or the SUS (open element - cone)?

Oh and if anyone has a lead on a z-tube I'd appreciate it

Check the Private Classifieds on driver and my350z.com for the z-tube.

See you tomorrow.

Filled up after the FGC meet weekend (not the most fuel efficient driving)

I don't think its a brand thing just the difference between the stock filter and a higher flowing one (k&n, etc.) - more numbers soon. This is mixed city and highway driving BTW

I've had my K&N typhoon cold air intake on for awhile and I've noticed an increase in my mileage as well. I'm able to hit 20 mpg more easily now. But I hate how abnormal my idle is now. Do you have that problem too?

It was rough the first couple times I started it up - but she hasn't reported/complained of it running any differently (and I'm pretty sure she'd notice).

What should our cars idle at? I have noticed as of late that my idle seems to be low...almost stalling out. It sometimes dips and idles at 600rpms.

The correct idle I believe should be at 700rpm. Mine tends to fluctuate and drop to 500 and then back up to 700 once in awhile. I find it annoying.

Neff showed the patented "F/I idle fixer technique" today....turn on your A/C and it will bump up your idle higher

It's cheaper than a TS ECU reflash just to bump up your idle.

Ryan, you have a 2003, correct? You can take your G to Lokey and they can bump up your idle rpms with an OBD-II consult that they have (for free). I'd have them set it 100-200 rpms higher than it presently is and that should fix all of your problems.
