Well you got a doctors note, so you're set. I wonder if I can get a doctor's note for speedophobia!

That would mean you are afraid of speed. Only old people driving Buicks need that note.

Anyone have pictures of what this looks like? Would you consider making the back window darker, since its allowed, even though it wouldn't quite match the other windows?

Opinions? Shoot'em..
I think it would help if you told us what you were trying to accomplish with the tint.

For me, I wanted to cool down my interior, reduce glare, and provide added UV protection without reducing outward visibility and minimizing the reduction of inward visibility.

After much research, I ended up with Huper Optik Ceramic 50 in gray (50% tint). I chose this tint because it offered 3 distinct advantages over traditional metallic tints:

1) It has double the heat rejection
2) It's UV and heat rejection properties do NOT degrade over time
3) Being ceramic and not metallic, it does not interfere with my radar detector's ability to detect radar wave transmissions.

Also, there is little relation between the darkness of the tint and the heat and UV rejection properties, even with metallic tints. Why people like the drug dealer tints is beyond me.

I have Huper 30 and it works great. Keeps the car very cool without the need to have limo type tint. I like to be able to see out clearly, especially at night. The ceramic material helps to not interfere with the nav system too. It is much more expensive and hard to find dealers in the area. Is Dexter still around? Last I heard he moved his operations to Tampa.

My goal was to add UV protection, as well as darken the window color - main reason being esthetic - since I will have an Ivory Pearl Coupe - and I love the contrast of black window and white body. But, I don't want the window to be so dark, that it reduces visibility to the point of being dangerous.

I looked at the Huper Optik, but it appears as though it doesn't really darkens the look of the window, unless I'm wrong. I see you mention using a gray version - at 50 % - care to give more details on that? You have pictures?

Thanks.

Huper 30 is kind of light, but I think they came out with a Huper 20, which should be dark enough aesthetically.
