VDC, SLIP, BREAK Light Issues???
VDC, SLIP, BREAK Light Issues???
Ok, This has just started to happen to me after I put the charger on. The first time this happened was at the dragstrip. As I was running down the track, my slip light came on and sayed on along with my break light (the light that comes on when you push e-brake down). At first i thought it was because I lost traction as I was running down the track. After the run I turned off the car and it reset and didn't come back on.
Recently driving normally without turning vdc off, I went WOT and the VDC, SLIP and BREAK lights came on all over again. I figured I must have freaked the computer out since I have the Stillen S/C on there. More recently it has been happening more often. They don't turn of until I turn off the car to reset everything.
Has this happened to anyone that is N/A or F/I??

lol yeah this has happened to me more times than i can count in the 3 years i have had the G... at least a few times a year, when i wear the brakes down to nothing/brake fluid low.
Just fyi... unlike turning VDC off, which simply raises the levels at which the computer kicks in to save your '***', when the SLIP and VDC OFF are on permanently that means that the emergency systems are TURNED OFF.
You can have a lot more fun when they are like this...
Be careful.
There are artificial ways to trick the computer into turning them off also..
BTW... mine have been on for a couple weeks, brakes are so low that the pistons on the calipers are extended very far; hence the brake fluid in the reservoir is low.

What are those artifficial ways you mention. All I have done is turned off the VDC at the track. I figured if that light stayed on that it is OFF PERIOD. I was talking with a Lexus IS 350 guy and he was telling me what he had to do and it reminded me of old nintendo days...up up down down left right blaa blaa blaa. It was crazy what he had to do. We don't have to do the same do we?
Tracy
tracy mine did this also even before i put the s/c on.did you take the car back in for the recall of the brake interlock switch.it was a recall of the early 03,s and its free.
