If you only want 350 whp, I think the JWTTT is the best way to go.

I also had the JWT kit installed on my G35 back in January. The shop is top notch. I had some little problems which are common when doing this kind of work to your car (squeaks and stuff) and they were quick to have me bring the car right back. I highly recommend them. At the time, they weren't tuning the kits though, I'm not sure if they are now. They were installing them out of the box. They might be tuning them now though. Vinny Ten and his crew Damon, Mike and Frank are awesome guys and know what they're doing.

350whp is definitely easy enough to make with the JWT kit. what i meant was, i don't know if it's worth it to go with a twin setup over a single like the APS (which have recently dropped in price and include a fuel system and a more highly featured engine management solution) that could get me the same whp at a lower cost for both the kit and the install

i think i need to go for a ride in a JWT equipped car to get a feel for it. vance, maybe we can setup a mini meet with KjbAlto to check his out. (i'm back and forth from SI to Hempstead every day right now, so whenever)

The JWT TT spool really quickly and smoothly. They are the superior Garret design. I have decided that I am going w/ the JWT's...the only knock is that they are small (which helps their spool up time) and a little bit pricey. Of course if you want big power (over 500whp) you can get the bigger turbos.

However, a properly tuned and built JWTTT w/ say 450 to the wheels will actually be faster than many cars w/ over 500 due to their responsiveness.

Very true, glad to see someone else point that out.

There's no reason for you to spend $3K more for a TT setup when you only want 350whp! The ST will more than be enough and if you want to build in the future you can easily achieve 450+whp or much more. Don't waste your money on the insignificant difference in lag between the two. Spend it on other mods like cooling support, suspension, brakes or interior.

Love my JWT TT!!!! Almost a year since I got it, 98% track miles on the kit, no problems, 554whp on built motor. Hard to beat that!

Its my understanding that the JWT TT is only capable of 500 whp unless you upgrade the turbos.

More is-possible, depending on cams, spacers, and plenum and what type of fuel - if only race fuel, can run much more aggressive timing.

Really the issue isn't WHP level, it is that the turbos loose efficiency around 15 PSI - can't flow so I suggest f you want 500 + WHP, upgrade immediately to the larger kit.

So, with the same turbo kit, all you have to do is upgrade to the BB700 from the BB530s, the manifolds and all good until around 700 WHP.

Of course, need bigger injectors, reprogram and a clutch that can handle over 600+ WHP.

There is exactly 350 RPM (Yes only 350 RPM more lag with the larger turbos).

Have fun.

Brian,

If I wanted to run 350whp on a stock block the JWT TT would definately be worth it. Much less lag (IE better real world performance) and much less stress on the motor.

I have one and rode in a ST and felt little real world difference in lag. IMHO, if he wants to stay with a stock block at around 350whp, I don't see a strong enough reason to go TT. If I only wanted 400whp or less, there's no way I'd spend the extra $3K plus (including install) for the TT, after my experience with both.

While we are on the subject of the JWT TT, does anyone have any leads on the CARB status?

Save yourself money and install the kit yourself. Its not hard to install a turbo kit at all, just takes some time and patience.

They won't just sell you a JWT kit

+1, there are only a few places to install this, as Jim Wolf mandates he has the proper pesonnel installing his products. When you get a JWT product, you know is the shiizzznit.
