Anyone buy a JWT TT yet or have any solid info on it?
just wondering if anyone has installed a Jim Wolf Technologies Twin Turbo yet....I know in Cali the CARB thing is holding it up....but it has been released in NY...only met one guy with a 350Z who had one installed...but didnt seem too knowledgable about it.

thanks for the quick replies...I am in NYC so yeah Performance Motorsports as far as I know would be my only option for installation.
What I'm looking for is:
1. even though fairly rare ...reliability of the JWT TT?
2. and any problems experienced by actual owners that were not due to a mistake of the installers?
3. If the car is running completely right - no idle problems, no wierd smells, buring oil, or using a lot of oil, anything at all that is not quite right since the install.
4. Anything else that may need to be done with the install to help ensure no issues...like valve body upgrade...tc etc?
Power and TQ goals are not really my focus...I'm more interested in wether or not it will potentially mess up my motor or mess up anything...or cause any issues....and if any owners have experienced issues.
For example: We've all heard of the ProCharger...and heard of it messing up the engine...due to the FMU not being up to par or whatever...
or in general people saying how due to the compression ratio of the engine that any FI will cause issues....just basically all the peanut gallery statements and opinions...from people that dont own these things...just going by what they have "heard"
I'm looking for info from Owners of the JWT and how the entire install, behavior of the car...driving experience, reliability...etc they have experienced

anytime you go FI your going to mess up the engine, the only difference is how soon you "mess" it up. A better tune will increase the life of the motor but regardless your still taking chunks out of the life of your motor when you go FI.

let me clarify ....
what you said I realize - 150K n/a vs. 100K t/c - out of the engine (or so...)
what I mean by mess it up is ....cylinder blown, burning oil, etc etc

I've been lurking on this and my350z forums as of late... I have this big gaping hole in my TopSecret bumper that screams FI!!!
I was over at Performance Motorsport 2 months back for a Q&A, and saw some JWT TT in person and on the Dyno... all I can say is WOW!!
Vinny Ten and the crew is one of the few shops in the East Coast certified to do the JWT installs... Coming from a race crew with a 1500hp drag 350z, I think they know what they're doing. The are doing a lot of R&D and had several blocks on display they are playing around with (sleeved, no sleeve, etc...)
Chatting with Vinny... the Rods are definitely the #1 weak link once you get near 400rwhp. Going above 400 would be highly recommended to rebuild the engine, lower compression ratio (9:1 or lower). High compression engines are great for N/A, but for FI... it's better to lower the compression ratio to be safe.
This is probably the one thing holding me back from going FI. I wanna jump on either the APS or JWT now...!!! But if I'm gonna do it, I wanna do it right!!
My debate is whether to throw the money at a turbo/rebuilt block... or sell the G, invest the $$, drive the 2nd car (*yawn*), but buy something REALLY fast. (I know... 2 drastic extremes).
I might head out Friday night... so we can chat/chill.
