i got a friend that is running STC 8 PSI on his 350Z with an upgraded exhaust and cold air intake and is currently getting 23/24 MPG, his RPMS at 80 MPH are at 2200K/2300K instead of stock of 2900K/3000K, which means his engine is working less, so i wonder why some people think of TC are more dangerous than SC...can anyone explain...i dont know much about the topic just the example from above so i am not trying to get anyone to start a war thread...

uh 2200-2300 @ 80mph is wrong unless he's changed his transmission out to something other than stock. There's just no way his rpms are that low unless he's running a 2.8 final drive with the stock transmission......or really messed up tire sizes

on top of that, that's a horrible rpm to be cruising at in this car. You'd have no power. A turbo won't even spool much at 2300 rpms so when you give it any gas in top gear almost nothing will happen in terms of the speed increasing. The stock rpms at around 3000 rpms are right where turbos are making maybe around 4 psi so you'd actually feel something. I'm just talking about cruising and making minor speed adjustments without changing gears
