If you're in California then emissions are/will be a problem....Vortech is recommended by my tuner over stillen and I agree with his opinion. As of yet there are no TT or ST that are smog legal in our lovely golden state...Boy I wish my first car(chevy corvair) was bought by my parents...Times sure have changed...

just incase anyone is interested.. the carb certification for the vortech only applies with the 3.33 pulley.. so if u ever get tagged and go in for emissions and you have a upgraded pulley, then it would be wise to put the stock pulley back on just in case. I doubt they'll even know though but its not worth the hassles.

Great Idea! You can actually have your tuner make u a stock 3.33 pulley R4 file before the tune. Then later, before the smog, just download the very rich stock tune with a laptop to the SS box. Afterwards, you can put the 3.12 and tune back in place. How's that for convenience? If you don't feel comfortable doing this, any competent tuner can.

if the hood bulge doesn't bother you, the stillen will give you more power for your money out of the box than the vortech will, and be 100% smog legal - same as vortech would, but the vortech just isn't that great until you start pushing that setup further - which BTW will become much more expensive than the stillen setup

Both are fine kits.

Vortech has more Long-Term Growth Potential for sure if you ever want to build your motor...

Goodluck.

It took me awhile, but the hood really grew on me. I love it now, and so do most people that see the car in person. Way better than both Z versions of the hood.

Vortech FTW

I have the Vortech Revup which is what you will purchase-if you choose Vortech ( once it comes out ) and FYI it will come with the 3.12 pulley and 'is' still CARB Legal.

Go with the Vortech, Out of the Box with the 3.12 pulley you will feel the power

i didn't think the REV-UP vortech came with a 3.12 pulley, it just gets 9 psi because you rev to 7000 rpms instead of 6600

Can you guys give me some info on them reliability warranty and power and pricing if you can any information will help me a lot thanx.
Being that you sound like a newbie to forced induction...I would go to my350z.com and research everything said there about both kits and make your choice. In my oppinion, I think you'd be better off with the Stillen as you don't have to tune it and it is an easier install. But my preference is for the vortech as it offers more power.
