I want Sharif to install a JWT TT kit on my 03 AT. I've been reading about Sharif tuning the VQ since the beginning. I wish I had a ton of money to blow! Someday. . .*fingers crossed*

Most people with F/I DO NOT have auto trannys.

However, here is an example of one with a JWT kit...

We have also done built motor TT and non-built Gs, Z's, and FX. Even an All Wheel Drive G35x.

Have a great day.

Sorry,

I was referencing our client base which is only 10% are autos compared to 6 speeds. I can't speak about other companies %, just ours.

wolf, no matter what problems persist, do know that sharif is one of the best in the country. if sharif troubleshoots over aim (with me), he can do MUCH BETTER AND FASTER in person. you're in good hands.

hope both of you find the problem asap!

JATCO is very specific [333 lb/ft at input shaft] about the MAXIMUM torque and rpm for this tranny and the torque up version used in Titan.

Exceeding this by even 1 lb/ft voids their warranty to Nissan.

We saw the same situation years ago when JWT came out with a 75HP [130 lb/ft] Nitrous kit for the old Q45................20 tanks and the tranny was done......yet even with torque up from an ecu tune you could get 200k from a stock unit agressively driven with ATF maintenace and external cooler.

Updating the clutch material and numbers was the solution.
Monitoring the ATF temp is critical as the new better ATF won't burn and discolor [red dye fade] fast enough to warn you like Dexron.

Alto www.altousa.com is almost done with their Red Eagle and Keolene Power Pack kits for this trans. I spoke with their tech Manager yesterday and they should be available very soon. Besides being better friction material it will increase the direct pack to 7/7 and the input to 8/8.
