the vortech supercharger didn't give you new injectors? weird. I hope they gave you at least an intercooler lol.
Yeah the kit comes w/ an intercooler just no injectors. I should have just gotten the tuner kit and done this from the start.

ditch the vortech fmu and get a walbro..u can scale the injectors with the Utec

The Vortech FMU is controlled by the SS Box and it's a secondary fuel regulator in addition to your stock pump that increases fuel pressure based on boost. It's basically overworking your stock regulator. If you have the walbro, and you're getting the Utec, you don't need the Vortech FMU or SS Box.
But if i am to get a new ss box then i would stick w/ the fmu. Utecs install price is a little hi for me. So either the shop that tried to tune it didn't know what they were doing or the box was just bad.

yeah i don't know what else to add. I didn't have the SS box, I had the emanage ultimate and didn't enjoy the experience with it - bad starts, fried coils, buggy software, etc
An ECU flash for a vortech kit will get you in the ballpark where you need to be and properly scale the injectors, then you can use the SS box to fine tune everything. A cheaper solution but with less control would be an ECU flash and SAFCII for fuel tuning
I'm moving to an Fcon V-pro and will be selling my SAFCII soon hopefully for something like $200 or so if you'd be willing to wait 3 or so weeks

If i were to get AAM reflash then take it to get tuned w/ the ss box your saying that they should be able to tune the injectors better. and still keeping the larger fuel pump.

the AAM or technosquare flash would give you a new baseline A/F curve and timing map. It would also scale your injectors and raise your idle if you wanted (I'd go to around 1000 rpms)
on top of that, you could run either the SS box or the SAFCII

The advantage it might have over the SS box is it has something like 48 (I think) points that are adjustable in the rpm range and you can move each point to any rpm you choose in 50 rpm increments. I opted for the SAFCII over a SS box because I thought it would be the lesser evil and just used AAM's raw timing map on their ECU flash

So if i have already gotten the car tuned ( not a good one) and then got the aam reflash would it still run right before i were to take it to houston. I am assuming I would also need to have the 440cc injectors and 3.12 pulley and fmu recalibration installed before i put back in the ECU since thats what its tuned for, correct?

why not just ditch the fmu and just get the aam stage 1 fuel setup? I'm always afraid that the fmu will stick and get stuck and BAM..... bye bye engine.

you can get the AAM flash and run that just fine with the SS box on your trip but only as long as you DO NOT give the car much throttle - absolutely stay out of positive boost and really stay less than 50% throttle and don't go above 3000 rpms, and you'll be just fine making your way to the shop to get tuned via the SS box - which will have to have a totally different tune. It'd be more of a fine tuning than a drastic tune
if you get on the throttle at all, the car will run excessively rich and you can either burn out your cats or possibly harm a sensor (not so likely though) or possibly destroy the inside of a muffler or something. So you'd just have to baby the car there and keep it at an easy going cruise
