How many people in here has the APS TT kit installed on there stock motor w/o any problems?
Also how safe is it installing the kit on the stock motor if u keep it under the recommend boost by APS on the stock motor?
ALso is 13k reasonable for the installation w/kit, defi gauges, clutch, and tuned?

the kit alone will run you High 8k, so IMO you gonna spend a lot of money on tuning I don't know if the kit comes with a flash ecu but tunin is where the cost is at for the right tune you car can be on the dyno for a min.. 13k might look like 15k is you doing everything. and on stock engine I wouldgo over 7 or 8 psi.

APS TT here for over 35,000km in 2 years, stock block. No problem whatsoever and I drive the s**t out of it everyday. I did the work myself, so it was a lot cheaper than $13k.

$13k is a bit much.

You can do better.

Be more concerned with the quality of the install than the price, too many people have gone FI trying to cut corners only to shell out twice as much. $13k doesn't sound bad if it is a proven shop.

btw I had the APS TT kit on stock motor up until I sold the car, no issues at all boosting 10psi all day.

^ this is the man that inspired me to DIY install the APS TT on my car. pain in the ***, and wasn't fun. however, the sweat/blood/crappy APS wrench fruited a lot of smiles.

i had the APS out of the box tune with stock block for a year. then, i got a bent rod... but i suspected my father put in 89 octane prior to this problem.

^I also did it my self and saved a lot of money. 20K miles in 1 1/2 years. Stock motor, 9.5-10 psi. Also drive the $hit out of it every day.

40+ passes at the track.....still going strong.

It is all in the tune.
