apexi safc?

So my buddy has one in his 3000gt vr4 and he is getting rid of it. He said he would give it to me for free if i wanted it. How do you guys feel about it, is it going to help out with my mods (in my sig)? Also I am going FI eventually probably a vortech would this work for that if i was to get the tuner kit. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks guys.

the safc is not enough for FI. iirc, it only adjusts AF at different rpms. it's free, take it and use it when you're NA, but it may not be worth the cost of installing if you're goin FI soon.

Yeah it will help. I think nismo G has uses one. Ask him about it. You will be able to use it for FI too but it won't be enough on it's own.

"Able to" and actually successfully using it are two different things. Like others have said...for NA, it will help and it's free but for FI get an Emanage Ultimate or Utec. Once you have either of those, you won't need the apexi anymore.

hey man, the afc wont work with these cars. the ecu overrides it. i have dyno tested two of them and redynoed them two weeks later on.

i would lean towards a utec that way you dont have to cut any wires.

just do it right the first time.

hmmmm that's what I was kind of worried about. But I thought some people have done it before. Anyone else have any experience with this or anything?

Since the last time i had it dynoed i added a 5/16 spacer so the results are going to be different, most likely. I will see what i can do.
