Normally it wouldn't take 2 weeks but I can't pick it up until Saturday anyways so it's all good. I prefer for them to take their time and make sure everything is perfect. BTW, I am driving a 2006 IP 6MT coupe in the meantime so even though I don't have my G, I still am driving a G.
that is great you back up car is a g

HAHA of course but mine is real small job compared to yours, just bumpin up injector size and re-tune the Fcon and upgrade the timing system to the newer tensioners.....and whatever Sam can do to give me a little more power without re-building the block..LOL did I say little things.

haha!! Isn't a trip how what seems like a small/minor job turns into much more? Initially I was just going to get the basic Vortech kit installed and it slowly turned into a much bigger job with the more things I kept adding. lol!!

My last trip to Sam cost me $9300 and we didn't even mess with the engine, just VB, TC, Plenum Spacer, Catch can, 2 oil coolers, blitz SBC, Fcon and tune and some oil leak issues... but he is the best.

This trip is minor and probably last trip will be a bigger motor haha, just shot me now

Man this is so true. I said I will start with the basic kit then wait for a year(if the engine is still intact ) then do the next step. Now I'm already thinking of going back for some add-ons and i just got the car today

Boost is so addicting half a tank of gas gone in 15 mins of driving

Are we OT now sorry to the OP

Tell me about it. I started adding more stuff before my car even went into the shop! I know I'm gonna be spending a lot more money supporting this habit. A new front bumper for my FMIC and new clutch and flywheel will be my next steps.

Oops, I think we did kinda jack the OP's thread but we are on topic though. We ar talking about the cost of going FI!

Can anyone give me an approximate number of how much it would cost to build the engine? Thanks
Depending on the dyno you are using 400-450whp is towards the upper end of what we consider safe and reliable for the long term.

If you keep the power levels to about 375whp-400whp, your stock block will be happier in the long run.

If you decide to build the engine, a good shortblock is between $3300-$3900, depending on the components used. It's the supporting, safety, and labor costs that really start to add up.

Are you planning on doing the installation yourself?
