Tell me how this sounds (Vortech)

- SS box
- 3.12 pulley
- Walbro 255 fuel pump
- 440cc injectors

I know upgrading to a UTEC would be better than SS box, but would this work ok?

theres nothing wrong with that setup.

Why not stay with the fmu and aux pump from vortech? 3.12 pulley doesnt really require all those extra stuff if u arent going to upgrade to the 2.87 pulley later on.

If u are planning on staying with the 3.12 pulley this setup will be the cheapest and still reliable: ssbox, 380cc PE injectors (dont need clips like RC440cc), fmu, aux pump, smaller gates belt.

Mark350GT upgraded to 750cc injectors, so his old 440cc injectors are collecting dust. If you think the FMU & Aux pump are sufficient, then I just have to buy a new belt and the pulley...then get it all tuned.

U will also need at least 380cc injectors for the 3.12 pulley. So if u can use his old 440cc then all u need is a new tune and belt/pulley to make it work.

If I stay w/ the FMU/aux pump, would I have to recalibrate the FMU for the 440cc injectors?

is the 3.12 pulley the smallest one (meaning its the one that creates the most boost) ?

You dont have to bc u use the ss box to lean it out.

Also the 2.64 is the smallest that I'm aware of.

That is the setup I started out with then moved up to the AAM return fuel system and cams and headers and crawford plenum....plenty of room to grow for you with the setup you have mentioned.

I would say stick with the FMU but lose the aux. pump. Just upgrade to the walbro. I have always heard you needed to get the fmu disc upgraded when going with bigger injectors, but could never find which disc is the right one.
