Boost comparison
Ok Vortech do blow up motor so after a rebuild you're are still stuck with a weak FI system
check Mr_pharmD car who had AT 05 g35c with only 10K boosted mile pushing 430hp/350tq. This thing is so violent that the rod went straight thru the oil pan.

And even if it was caused by the Vortech, that is just one as opposed to dozens of T and TT's that blow engines. The torque in T/TT's is what causes these engines to go. SC's don't produce the kind of torque that T/TT's do. The jury is still out on what happened to Mr_pharmD's G.
The OP is comparing SC and Turbo and obviously Turbo will walk on SC any day. Vortech was my first option before I had the turbo but that is because I had a good deal. I'm not arguing that SC is less or more reliable coz I'm already sold that centrifugal SC is much safer than any turbo (I see Turbo guys rolling their eyes now) but that is because SC power curve is pretty low compare to a Turbo. I'm just making a point that a SC can break motor if pushed and same as Turbo can be safe if power are kept to a low number. There are ST guys that has been running on 50K+ miles on just a reflash
True that there are lots of Turbo blowing left and right but that is because there are more of them and lots of them ran over 400+ whp back then with crappy EMS.

For the reliability sake alone - I chose Vortech. My preference, if I didn't care about engines blowing up and obvious traction issues with turbo's as well as unpredictable results once boost hits (like in corners, during rain, etc.), I would have gone Twins as well.

I just went SC
I did my comparisons, reading and research, and the Vortech, for the reasons stated above made sense. Safe, my wife drives my car once in a while, and she may never know its even there. Reliable...I cant say i have read much negative stuff on the Vortech's. And one big plus, is if I have a major F up in the motor, the SC kit can be removed in a day and then ship it off to the dealership with the ???? look when I say "I am not sure why that is, was like that when I bought it".
YOu can read there are more than enough peeps in here that have put the Vortech in a lease.
my .02$
