Greddy TT w/ Stock Block
Greddy TT w/ Stock Block
What's up guys, just been going over everything on the forums and been researching my FI setup I'm debating on. I wanted to see how many of you guys are running low boost on a stock block and stock internals with the TT Kit. I have heard you can run it safely as long as you dont increase your boost. so for the ones of you who are runnin it how long and how is the car holding up?
I'm thinking of going to the TT kit and leaving stock internals with low boost for now until I get up the serious cash to build it. It's my "weekend car" now cause I have just purchased a junker to drive to work so it's not my MANDITORY ride, although I want it there when I wanna drive it.

if you go w/ greddy, go w/ the UTEC, as the e-manage the kit comes with is not that great. You can go up to 400rwhp on a stock block; beyond that and it gets a bit hairy. Some people have gone over 400rwhp, but in order to do so on a stock block, your tuning and cooling is very critical....you don't have much safety margin running +400rwhp on a stock block.
some people have gone over 40000 miles after going FI; again, it's' a matter of tuning and very good engine maintenance.
Oh, and check out the Forced Induction forum over on my350z.com

Yeah the more I research this the more I find most people have the JWT TT kit than the Greddy. Is there any differences between the two and is one more reliable and what not? Thanks.

You can run 420-430 to the wheels just fine for a daily driver.
I wouldn't turn it up to 9-10 psi without intentions of doing some work to your internals however.
You don't have to do everything all at once, but you do have to do it close together.
I'm pretty sure the JWT doesn't have external wastegates, and it has smaller ball bearing turbos
Someone please correct me if im wrong-- I didin't do much research into the jwt.

glad you are enjoying your ST there ian!!
go greddy, i would say that there are 10-15 greddy kits for every JWT kit out there easily.
it is a very expandable kit that will grow with you along the way. its great at 6 psi and even better at 18...

Just curious if any of you guys had any work done by z1motorsports? I live in s.c. and I'm thinkin of takin my car to georgia to have them boyz to the motor work and install the turbo. Any feedback on those guys? I have heard a couple good things hear and there, just wanted to confirm.
A safe and conservative stock block limit is about 8psi and 400whp, depending on the dyno used. The kits can definately make tremendous power in the future, if you decide to build up your bottom end.
