Don't ever put a kinetix plenum on a boost application,

I left mine on there due to lazyness and planned on changing it to something nicer when i turned up the boost.

However driving to work (within a half mile) I downshifted to first, downhill and I heard and felt a POP....

First thought, I knew i shoulda put a tranny cooler on, and I was just about to order my new valve body...., so the first thing I did was shift... it was wierd, but okay

So then I said #*$(@#$*#@$(@#* My engine!! theres at least 2000!!!!! but there was no smoke... my EUGO was dead and boost wasn't getting out of my turbos... sterring was locked etc etc

I came to a stop and took a look and saw my plastic plenum V4 Kinetix Blown wide open lol.

Scared the **** out of me, but im 98% sure thats all that went wrong.

I have a stock one coming in-- but honestly, I'm looking to sell my car.. I want a jeep SRT8 (Grand cheerokee)

So, I pushed my car the rest of the way to my office (right next to my tuner too) and its there for the weekend.

If anyone wants to put a offer in on a 35,000 mile, greddy twin turbo, 19" volk GTAV, Gauges, 2.5 test pipes/exaust, UNICHIP tuned by japtrix. 5AT, Fast and realible (when i change this plenum), NO track use EVER, never been over 80 with turbos. i barely see + boost. Just PM me with an offer its just a feeler.

I'm so done with this modding thing IMO

that's 2 Kinetix plenums i've heard of just today that cracked under high boost, lol

those plastic plenums would crack even NA. I wouldn't ever use one of those with FI

 

No chance, my car is only a use to me if its faster than my jeep SRT8, which it really isn't stock... or its to close to keep both.
