Okay looks like I will be taking the car back to tune it anyways so I guess I'll just have it looked at and fixed there.
Finally, I use Mobile 1 10W40 fully synthetic.. Is that bad??

You need to loosen the bolt in the middle of the pulley in the center of this pic 1st. This is the tensioner pulley...

Next you need to tighten this bolt (the one on the left) in incriments of 3-4 turns at a time and re-check the tightness of the belt. This bolt is located under the car near the alternater...

After it is tight to your satisfaction re-tighten the bolt on the pulley itself in pic one and you are good to go.
by the way, they are both 12mm bolts.
If you are unsure, take it to the place that did the install and have him show you 1st hand.
Good Luck!... P.S. you wont damage your engine with a slightly loose belt so it is not an immediate emergency... I would try to get to it in the next week if you cant get it in right away.
Good Luck! You will loove your Vorech! I love mine!

i guess this is the time where everyones belt needs tightening.. hahahah. I still need to do mine..I was looking down from the top of the car and i noticed that the tensioner bolt is right above the sway bar and sc piping.. is it hard to reach up from there?

The only one you can access from the top is the bolt on the tensioner pulley itself... (fig 1)
You have to tighten / loosen the tension bolt from underneath the car (fig 2)... There is no way to even get to it from above... You will need to drop your plastic undercarridge protector to get to it... To make it easier in the future you can cut a square in the protector to easier get to the bolt without having to take it off every time.
I totally took mine off and run w/ out it now.

^^Actually I am barley able to fit both arms down the front to get to the bolts without having to get under the car. Its a bit of a fight and my arms take a little beating but it gets the job done.

And thanks for the reply guys.. i was actually talking about the tensioner bolt viewing up from the bottom of the car. But it seems that it should be fine if none of u have had any problems. I will do the cut square method =)

I'm pretty much an expert at loosening the tensioner and tightening up the belt. It's an easy fix...14mm to loosen the tensioner and 12mm for the adjustment bolt...also need a long extension around 8-12 inches.

The 10W40 - for high mileage - has cleaners and seal conditioners in the formula as well. Also, it's a higher viscosity, so it will help with oil burn off.
The standard 5W30 - is thinner, keeps the engine clean, and is designed for turbo and supercharged engines, as well as OEM recommendations.
Knowing that combustion chambers pressures are much higher in a turbo ans SC'd car, resulting is even more blowby, which will hurt performance and make the car run hotter - I go for he extra protection of the 40 weight oil with the viscosity that will keep it protected, while still keeping it thin enough to not hurt performance and help to control temperatures and blowby.
Sorry if I mis-represented anything - please correct me if I'm worng.

i finally went to tightening my belt today... however on the tensioner bolt.. i was seriously only able to turn it a little bit because it was on pretty darn tight already. Is it supposed to be like that? My belt wasn't super loose or anything but I would hear screaching every so often. After tightening it a little bit i have not heard any squeal yet so I think its ok. I need to go for a test drive but waiting for new tires!
On a side note, I was going to remove my air filter to clean but I noticed that there was a hose connected to it? Is that part of the vortech kit or is that part of my catch can? In any event, the hose was on so tight there was seriously no room for me to yank it out. I tried for about an hr and gave up. Why does everything have to be so cramped... sigh
