Bugs and Rocks?

In my INTerCooLErZ@!? OMGZ

I just got a greddy front bumper, so it can actually be intercooled now lol...

Is rockchips and bugs a concern for my intercooler? Should I put some kinda mesh in that gap?

Anyone make a prefabed peice for it?

I have the greddy twins and the greddy front end and have left it open with luckily no problems yet for about 3 months.A mesh grill will only help with large rock,s and will not really help if smaller one,s get thru. Also i had the greddy front with the stillen and never got any damage at all.

Put the mesh on...all it takes is one hard object. The mesh is cheaper than a new intercooler

+1 The mesh will look good and only the lucky ones will get through without touching the mesh at all and slowing down a little.

check customautomesh.com coz their mesh look good and not like those chicken wire you get from HomeDepot. PM Diesel1 if you want more info but I would check if they have a bigger weave coz 1/4" look small to me especially on the IC opening.

I have seen Mesh from customautomesh and I have gotten mesh from Eric (the guy that makes bumper) and I have seen Home Depots Mesh. They all look the same to me.

But if he want to pay $40 or more...who am I to say...

I don't think it is all the same actually.. Customautomesh is actually made of plastic where it will no chip... The Home Depot stuff is crap IMO and looks thin and alot of the small openings are missformed. I have used (get this) APC mesh from PepBoys of all places and really like the thickness of it.
