ive been looking into getting a nitrous kit but im not sure how safe id be without a tune running a 50shot. i think i might be too lean with my mods (CAI, Spacer,XO2 TD CB, Gutted cats). ive been tuned since then and have my A/F ratios down to 12.6 pretty much all the way across would that be ok for a 50 or 75 shot? Also would it be better for me to get a wet or dry kit?

 

Hey, I recently had a 75 shot installed on my 05 sedan. My a/f rations are 10.9-11.9/1 and the tunning shop said that was good. I have not been to the track yet, but I hit it on the freeway and you can really feel it kick. Without the nitrous, I was running very rich, off the charts, even with all the bolt ons. The G's inherently run rich from the factory I hear. You should not have a problem with a 75 shot. I am trying to find out if I can go with a 100 or 125 shot. Anyone know?

A 50 shot is nothing to worry about.

Zex's come with a default of 75, and even then you are ok.

above that and you are gonna have start thinking about plugs and fuel supply.

Well I took my G to the track and ran it with 75 shot. My best time prior to the nitrous was 14.14. I ran a 13.019 with a 75 shot. Go to dragtimes.com and see. I am listed number 3. Not bad for a sedan with AT. I am putting in the 100 shot and see if I can get to 12.8's.
