Vortech Cog Belt

Well my cog belt seems to be shedding teeth.. a good section of the belt is missing teeth which causes some weird noises when driving. So I've got to order a new cog belt and swap it. Can someone advise me on how to change the cog belt? Thanks.

loosen the bolt on the cog side off the 3.12 pulley and u should be able to slide the old belt off and the new one in.

I'd loosen/remove the tensioner/guide pulley for the cog belt and it will provide you with enough clearance to change the belt.

I'm not trying to sound like a ***** , but if you cant just look at it and see how to take it off and change in a new one . Maybe you better let a shop do it . Its a pretty simple and quick change out . 3 or 4 minutes tops for me .

Oh Really? It's simple. However, is the blower eating belts or has it just worn out over time?

well after ive switched out the cog belt, everything has been running fine.. no strange sounds at all.. but when i was visually checking it, i noticed that the side of the belt is rubbing the side of the tension pulley. It seems that the belt is not exactly centered on the tensioner pulley. Has anyone come across this problem? I will post pics tomorrow to show what I mean.. but no matter how teh belt is adjusted, it will always move back to the same position. Its leaving some marks on the pulley...
