VQ35HR Turbo Projects

I am starting to get extremely aggravated with the search functions on driver and my350z (I can't find ****). I know that GTM has successfully put a turbo kit in the new g37 with the vq37 motor (almost 600whp without internal builds). Has anyone successfully put a turbo kit in the 07 350z? I know greddy has a kit out or atleast has one on their 07 350z. Does anyone on here know of any successful turbo'd VQ35HR motors? I am interested to see what the stock internals on the 35HR motor are capable of.

Both the new G37 and the New Z motor is a VH not a VQ. GTM does have a kit they are making for the G37, which is currently on their stroked G37. Greddy has come out a couple of months ago with a new TT kit for the new 350z and G35 sedan motors. Others will soon follow.

I'm not sure what you mean by the VH? Nissan has not stopped producing the VQ motor in the 350z nor the g37. The 350z and g sedan still have the VQ35HR motor and the new g37 a improved version - the vq37vhr. The 350z does not have a vhr motor though.

That is off topic though. Has anyone put a turbo kit on the 350z with the vq35hr motor yet? I know gtm has done a turbo set up with the g37, but i still haven't heard anything about the 2007+ 350z.

I know greddy has the kit and it looks sick! But does anyone besides greddy have it installed? So far greddy is the only one with the kit actually on the car that i can find...

Here is the g37 project. It looks like the are using the stock block that will be producing right around 600whp. This is with nothing, but the turbo kit and tuning. No internals, stroker kit or anyting.

The VH is a completely different family of Nissan motors. The new VQ that is used is the VQ37HR High Response (or High Rev). It's simply a stroked and revised 3.5 VQ. You may have been thinking of the VR which is used by the Skyline. That too, is part of the VQ family.
